A practice server is now running 24/7 for everyone to test on. Please use the time to find a car that suits you and to develop an idea of how to set it up.
Server IP: 62.171.154.131:44297
Server Name: CMH DRM Test
Password: cmh77
Track used: Sachsenring 1967Simply install the mod from the Rules Thread and then install the CMH DRM Pre-Season Track from >>HERE<<. To download the tracks, right-click on the link and hit "Save as". Any questions/issues can be reported here.

So I'll start here and take some notes so we can get that stuff fixed before the season starts:
Porsche 935 K1:
- Default gearing way too long, third and fourth gear way too long - I also experience having to press the ratio back-forward button multiple times for the gear ratio to actually change. Not sure if it's a bug in the UI or if the gearbox file has duplicate entries. - It shouldn't be possible to do that, but I can set 3rd and 4th gear to the same exact ratio.
I'm quite sure this issue happens with all the Porsches at least. It's the same on the K2 and the 935/77 as well. The gear ratios affected are 25/28, 26/28, 26/27, 26/26, 28/27, 27/26, 28/25, 29/25, 29/24. Those before and those after aren't affected. The game seems to see multiple ratios of the same, which also causes the gears to be able to be selected on the same ratio.
(I'll update this post with more to come instead of adding new stuff)

I don't know if my message has been deleted...
I wanted to say, also the graph of the speeds according to the gearing is not correctly displayed...

None of your messages were deleted, but that has been noted too. I'm pretty sure the graphs don't have a real scale for the speed, though, but we'll look at that!

yes, the indications would only have an approximate value, but it can help

yes, the indications would only have an approximate value, but it can help Correct me if I'm wrong Pascal Mikula but since rFactor only reads engines as NA it doesn't account for the boost settings available as "turbo" for the cars in the mod. Only the regular 320s and Escorts and stuff will be accurately portrayed but the game doesn't account for the boost mapping in the turbo cars. That's why it can't tell the top speed of turbos. Not sure we can circumvent that in the setup screen since that's hard coded stuff.

He's talking about the gearing graph in the setup menu, which shows about how far the gears are apart etc. - that's something that, due to the fact there's no scale to look after (i.e. "engine speed vs. vehicle speed"), that can't properly be modeled. It's just a visual aid, after all.

There's a discrepancy between the cockpit RPM gauge and HUD RPM gauge. Seems to be present on most cars, confirmed on #20 and #58.

Well, every car has different RPM ranges since they have different engines. I think the best thing to do is a UI update to replace that tach graphic with the vanilla one from rFactor. TBH, I don't think anyone noticed so far because GID as a plugin is used by most. We'll likely replace that UI element with the vanilla one, though
