Dear CMHers,
Obviously there's been a large uncertainty about the future of the current CMH championships, but fortunately Formula Ford looks to be concluding in a stable fashion.
Now, with the Talladega 500 having been forced to be cancelled, it's important for the administration to know whether or not interest exists for a final 500-mile race to finish off both the Masters Trophy as well as the Triple (well..double, technically) Crown.
Here are some details to help you create your opinion:
1998 Marlboro 500 Presented by Toyota
--> 1998 CART FedEx Championship Series --> Race Distance: 250 Laps (500 miles) --> Track Length: 2 miles --> Date and time: Sunday, October 30th; Qualifying due to start at 18:00 GMT, race due to start at 19:00 GMT --> Race length (approx.): 3 Hours at 166 mph average speed
Indy/ChampCars have proven (quite obviously so) to be more popular than old NASCAR Grand National cars, and they're arguably easier to drive at higher speeds, too.
Please cast your vote above. Please also vote only if you have intentions of taking part in the event. I think you'd understand that it'd be a bit upsetting to have people vote yes and then not take part.
Feel free to leave your thoughts/comments in the replies, as well.
Voting will close on September 29th, with the thread opening on September 30th in case the interest is high enough.

Well, in my opinion one can't know that until they try. So I'd recommend anyone who thinks "they're too fast for me" try them, because they're really fun as well.
Then again, just my opinion

Absolutely yes! Never done a race with CART 1998 mod, but I've always felt suit for this kind of racing on ovals at high speeds. I need also to complete the deal of last year's race at Indianapolis where I was able to recover from 19th to 2nd at a certain point XD

I won't vote because I will not be able to attend as I'll be out of state that weekend.

I'm a bit disappointed, albeit not surprised/shocked there has been zero activity on this thread in the past seven days. I know there should be enough people out there to warrant hosting this event as a dignified send-off to the 2022 CMH Season but I'm getting more and more concerned that, like it has happened more than enough times this year already, such a highly-anticipated event won't be run/will be cancelled.
So, if you are interested in this event, please do vote.

10 days until the end of the poll and 4 people, including myself, have cast a vote.

Zero response by any of the 156 remaining forum members leads me to yet another obvious conclusion and I'm not even going to spell it out.
Thank you.
