Due to an incredible lack of attention for the product offered and the platform it's offered on, proven by the fact the 2023 CMH Season, supposedly the great reset after a disasterous second half of 2022, couldn't even get started, Classic Motorsport Hub will cease all league operations with immediate effect.
My sincerest apologies go out to those who signed up to CMH events, took part, and enjoyed the experience. Thank you for having been part of this ride.
My not-so-sincerest thanks, however, go out to the people who abandoned CMH at the first signs of trouble, those whom made it their life goal to destroy the organisation since day one, and those who faked being interested in the events despite knowingly never thinking about taking part. (You got your wish, the league is no more!)
What happens now?
Well, CMH has, despite its ongoing struggles to build a somewhat loyal driver base (in spite of what the numbers should be saying), has expanded well beyond a single league. With the HFS Repository and the Historic Simracing Organisation relying on CMH Services, the decision will be made to keep all CMH services running and to only cease league operations.
The Historic Simracing Organisation joined the CMH Network for 2023 and I won't let them down despite the heartbreaking loss of my own dream in this organisation.
The HFS Repository will also remain, albeit it probably won't get as much attention anymore.
The Server PC remains as the basis for all operations of the CMH Network.
Will CMH ever return?
Ask me again when I know the answer. I wish it would, but it seems the days of historic sim racing in rFactor, fueled by passion, are over.
