1972 BRSCC European Formula 5000 Championship - Rules
Sporting Regulations
Cars
All the cars of the HS0 1972 Formula 5000 mod are allowed. Addon skins are not allowed.
Car choice is free. However the administrator can refuse to grant a driver a car that -he thinks- is too fast for him. In this case, the driver will have to choose another car.
Changing of car during the championship will be tolerated under exceptional circumstances only. Also, in the event of a driver announcing his absence to a given race, his car will not be made available for another driver.
Point rules
Points are awarded to the first six finishers on the following scale : 9-6-4-3-2-1.
The final race at Brands Hatch will reward double points, that means 18-12-8-6-4-2 to the first six finishers.
Only drivers which have covered at least 90% of the laps covered by the race winner will be classified. Whenever 90% of the total number of laps result in a number with decimals, the decimals will be disregarded.
All results will be counted at the end of the series. Two drivers tied in final points will be split by the quality of their race finishing positions.
Qualifying
The starting grid for the race will be determined by the 60-minute qualifying session held immediately before the race.
Race Starts
Starts will be given standing, after one formation lap.
Driving Conduct
We expect a courteous conduct of driving from the drivers in this championship, as this means caution in tricky situations, knowledge of one's car's behaviour etc.
Driver Assists
The following driver assists are allowed for the BRSCC F5000 European Championship:
- Automatic Clutch.
Behaviour on track
A few behaviour rules :
- as for all CMH races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the Discord. Thank you.
- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.
- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.
- If you have a spin on the course, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the track is sufficiently clear before you rejoin the race.
- Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane before the start of a session.
Application and Interpretation of the Regulations
Race Control alone is qualified to solve and problems raised by the application, including interpretation of the current regulations.
