2021 CMH Gold Star Award For Drivers
Our first annual Gold Star award will be based on the results of all the Open Events held during the 2021 season. The award is based on the illustrious BRDC Gold Star, however we will use the current Formula One points system to award finishers. Championship Rules
All drivers competing in a CMH Open Event are eligible for points, provided they comply to the rules applied in each race. In the event of a first place points tie at seasons end, the driver with the most wins will be declared Gold Star champion. Points SystemThis points system is in place at every Gold Star event. In case of multiple classes of vehicles competing, the points system will be separated, that means the winner of class 1 receives 25 points as well as the winner of class 2; etc. Position | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | Points | 25 | 18 | 15 | 12 | 10 | 8 | 6 | 4 | 2 | 1 |
Points System Update for 500-mile (and above) events
Due to the nature of 500+ mile events (and any events with the Endurance tag in which no multiple classes compete, the following points system will be used in such events (and only in such events) to encourage more finishers.
