__**CMH Rulings - Formula 5000 at Brands Hatch Club**__
After reviewing the replay of Sunday's race at Brands Hatch, the following notes have been made:
1) Drivers involved: Edijs Batars , Matthew Sibanyoni , German Koroev
It has been made **very clear** during pre-race briefing that during the reconnaisance laps, drivers MUST GO THROUGH THE PIT LANE if they were doing multiple laps. Edijs, Matthew and German ignored that rule multiple times, in Edijs' case, he almost caused a collision twice with cars already on the grid. **All three drivers receive a three-place grid drop at the next F5000 race they compete in.**
2) Drivers involved: Edijs Batars , Gustavo Losburro
On lap 23, Losburro was multiple laps behind the leaders already. Going into Paddock Hill Bend, he hit the back of Edijs Batars' car, causing damage to Edijs' car and knocking off his own nose.
Verdicts on Gustavo's driving mentality will be mentioned below.
3) Drivers involved: Matthew Sibanyoni , Gustavo Losburro , Pascal Mikula
__**There have been multiple incidents involving Matthew and Gustavo, none of which the admins having looked at the replay (in this case only myself, to be honest) are happy about.**__
Lap 2: Gustavo loses control over the outside kerb going out of Paddock Hill, gets stuck on the kerb and starts spinning. Matthew hits him in the back due to the rapid decrease in speed on Gustavo's end. Due to the fact Gustavo lost speed rapidly there, Matt couldn't really avoid him, therefore no action is taken against Matthew for that incident.
Lap 8: Matthew tried to put a lap on Gustavo going into Paddock Hill Bend. Gustavo cuts him off into the corner, nearly causing a collision.
Lap 19: Matthew was trying for multiple laps at this point to put a lap on Gustavo, who has been defending his position, despite the fact the fight wasn't even for position.
As Pascal Mikula was lapping both of them, Matthew massively missed his braking point, hitting Mikula in the back, causing heavy damage to both cars. **Matthew receives a reprimand due to his lack of judgement in that situation.**
Lap 57: Going into Paddock Hill Bend, Matt runs into Losburro's back, resulting in Matt's retirement. Replay shows Losburro going straight for a second before turning into Paddock Hill, causing Matt to run into his back. There was no move on for Matt, but Losburro blames the unpredictable behaviour of the car due to him missing his nose, despite the fact he was driving without a nose since lap 23.
**Gustavo Losburro receives a suspended one-race ban from the F5000 series due to generally overly aggressive driving against cars he wasn't even racing for position.** Adding to that, he receives a final warning to cut it out with the overly aggressive and temperamental driving; his admitted mindset of "I'm taking matters into my own hands because they did so back then and that makes it historically accurate" is absolutely not supported and further infractions resulting from such driving will result in further disciplinary action from the league.
**Matthew Sibanyoni receives a suspended 30-second penalty from the next race he finishes due to overly aggressive driving and lack of judgement in isolated cases.**
__The race results have not been altered due to these rulings, and these race results will be published shortly. Congratulations to Stefano Coletta for winning his first race at CMH!__
