__**CMH Ruling - F5000 Round 11 - Thruxton**__
1) Incident involving Edijs Batars and Anderson Bernardino at Church Corner on lap 28
> Anderson and Edijs collided while Anderson was being lapped on lap 28.
> Edijs had spun the lap before and was pushing hard catch up with the cars in front.
> Anderson went through Church corner at about 200 kph every lap, while Edijs (and the other top drivers) took it at 230+ kph.
>
> When the collision happened, Edijs was going 230 kph and Anderson had slowed to about 180 kph.
>
> The accident was caused by the difference in speed at Church corner and the fact Edijs was pushing hard after losing a lot of time after a spin at Church Corner on lap 26/27.
>
> **It has been ruled a racing incident, as neither of the two parties can be put at fault at a majority part.**
>
> While Anderson claims to have lost a position through that incident, the overtake by Lucas Gomes happened later the following lap, and while Anderson was still up at the same speed as Lucas (despite suffering suspension damage at the back, as could be observed from the replay), an overtake wasn't possible.
>
> **However**, it is well-known that lapping maneouvers are the major responsibility of the lapping car, in this case Edijs. He could have slowed down himself, given that Church Corner is a very tricky and dangerous corner in itself.
>
> Therefore, while no warnings or penalties will be applied, Edijs is advised to drive more forward-looking, judging situations ahead of him better, and hitting the brakes a bit earlier once or twice if necessary.
>
> **The results of the race remain unchanged.**
