CMH RULING: 1991 BRAZILIAN GRAND PRIX
Incident #1: Edjis Batars - Christian Stieger:
Ruling: Christian Stieger receives a warning for causing an avoidable incident on lap 7. Christian crossed the racing line while without power, leading to Edjis having no way of avoiding the stricken Larousse. We advise all drivers to get OFF the racing line as soon as possible when they notice something wrong going on in their engine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Incident #2: Jean D'apremont - Multiple Drivers:
Ruling: Jean D'apremont receives one and only one warning for erratic behavior on-track during Qualifying, causing multiple incidents involving Juan Guerrero, Pascal Mikula and Christian Stieger. A repeated offense in this department will lead to a DID NOT QUALIFY and thus a non-allowance to start the attended race. Jean is also asked hereby to read the F1 1991 Handbook in #f191-faq THOROUGHLY and to abide by it starting from the San Marino Grand Prix.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Incident #3: Matthew Sibanyoni - Cristian Stoalfa - Endri Baku:
Ruling: Matthew Sibanyoni receives a warning for rejoining the track in an unsafe manner after a spin on lap 15, causing Cristian Stoalfa and Endri Baku to take action in order to avoid an accident. Furthermore, erratic driving on Matthew's side caused an incident between Cristian Stoalfa and Endri Baku on lap 17.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Incident #4: Endri Baku - Matthew Sibanyoni:
Ruling:: Endri Baku receives a warning for excessive weaving on the start-finish straight on lap 20 and 21. IT HAS BEEN SAID MULTIPLE TIMES THAT WEAVING ACROSS THE TRACK FOR ANY REASON IS FORBIDDEN.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Incident #5: Juan Rapido - Borys Sawicki:
Ruling:: Read below.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE
We have seen multiple counts of weaving, overly aggressive defending and dive-bombing during the race. I have mentioned this in the pre-race briefing that such moves are not to be made! We also observed and came to the conclusion that the general level of driving standard must be increased in order to guarantee competitive and, importantly, fun racing for every participant of this place. Therefore we advise you to take practice seriously, not just for hotlapping, but also for "long-runs" and for practicing running in traffic!
Incident #5: Juan Rapido - Borys Sawicki: + Argument discussion.
Upon reviewing the case myself, I've seen that while Juan was along side Borys for a brief moment, Borys had the racing line and more distance from Juan, closing any possible chance of overtaking on the inside line. The move, on the inside was never possible. The dive will result in a warning for Juan. The overtake could've easily been done at a later time, and showed inpatient driving, especially for a higher powered + areo Tyrrell against a lower powered Brabham.
DESPITE this, I will take into account that the race was chaotic for many and shows that there is a lot of inexperience with racing with the field we have, but the argument caused from the original ruling was not needed. The actions, of especially drivers who had nothing to do with the incident was unacceptable, throwing insults and escalating the situation. There were easier ways of dealing with the situation and the fact that both parties did not take it to my/person they were arguing with's DM's was a immature act on both behalfs.
Furthermore, a driver who was involved in the incident was muted while trying to defend his point, I will take this into consideration as it should not have happened, but only did as other drivers got involved when it had nothing to do with them, causing irrational decisions having to be taken, in the defense of the admin present at the time.
I will DM all those who weren't involved in the incident (I won't name and shame), but argued regardless and warn them that if they are to have an opinion on a race incident, that they MUST DM ME so that we can avoid escalations in the public chats.
As for those who considered a warning a penalty, it does not directly impact the driver for the upcoming race, but rather a soft reminder to be more aware on track, and respect other drivers. I will NOT tolerate people throwing insults at each other over a game, it's not the way CMH should operate.
END.
