- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.
- Pit Speed: The Pit Speed limit is set at 120 kph in the race.
- If you have a spin on the course, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the track is sufficiently clear before you rejoin the race.
- Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane before the start of a session.
Application and Interpretation of the Regulations
Race Control alone is qualified to solve and problems raised by the application, including interpretation of the current regulations.
DRIVING ASSISTS ALLOWED:
- Traction Control
- Automatic Clutch
The United States Grand Prix of 2005, the race that never was.
For this race, we use the CTDP F1 2005 Mod for rFactor. Auto-clutch and Traction Control will be allowed for the event, as the cars IRL had Traction Control as well.
The real race had its infamous tyre scandal between Michelin and Bridgestone, but worry not, the tyres last this time!
Please book your car in the #gs-round-2-sign-up thread.
RULES
PARC FERMÉ:
Parc Fermé describes the ruleset which prohibits setup changes from a certain point forward. In 2005, Parc Fermé was enforced at the start of Qualifying. No setup changes were allowed to be made on the cars from the start of qualifying going forward. That means by that point, the race compound of tyre and the amount of fuel to start the race with must be decided.
Qualifying:
QUALIFYING will be a SINGLE-CAR, SINGLE-LAP SHOOT-OUT. The order in which the cars go out on the track is decided by car number. At the start of qualifying, every car must have enough fuel to go through qualifying and its first race stint. No tyre changes are allowed either.
Race Start Procedure:
The race start will be given standing, after one formation lap. Every car starts on the tyres used in Qualifying, not just the same compound, but the same set.
Pit Stops:
During pit stops, only refuelling is allowed under normal circumstances. Tyre changes are only allowed in case of a flat/punctured tyre, and in that case, only the damaged tyre is allowed to be changed, and only for the same compound of tyre. Don't worry about setting that up, though, the rule-set in the game is supposed to take care of that.
Points system:
As for all Gold Star races, the points will be given to the top-10 finishers on the following basis: 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1
